Learning outcomes:
to broaden students' knowledge of cryptography

Various mathematical structures are applicable in cryptography in many different ways. Finite fields and elliptic curves are good examples. A deeper study of such structures is included, complementing previous studies in cryptography. Then cryptographic applications of such structures are discussed.
